Last weekend I recorded for the procussions upcoming album. They wrote a song inspired by stumbling toward faith and asked me to participate by writing a poem and reading it on the track. It is a powerful song, and I am honored to have been a part of it. (And now I've fulfilled yet another ambition -- I'm a rock star!)

I’ll be doing a book club on stumbling toward faith at the San Diego emergent convention.
It will be Friday night, February 4 - 9:30-10:30pm in the Eaton room.
If anybody has any idea on some of the things you’d be interested in hearing from (or about) me & the book (I’m thinking most of the people won’t have read the book yet) please e-mail. Please let me know if you want to see a copy of my notes in progress. It will be good to have feedback for what I’m going to say. And please, if you’re going to the EC, consider coming! I’d love to see some friendly faces in the room.

this weekend i was at the national youth workers convention
in anaheim, and i had the privilege of watching people pick up my book, look at it, and decide whether or not to buy it.
i know many people probably never get the opportunity to do such stealth observation, and i feel so lucky to have had the chance to do so.
there were a couple people holding it in line, and i ran up to them and said, "i'm renee! that's my book!"
it was an amazing experience, and i really had a wonderful time.

i had originally said that i was going to donate a dollar per book i sold as an autographed copy to becky's house, along with ys, but i recently found this site and something in my heart said "donate here." and so i am, this is where my buck is going to go.

i talked to karla yaconelli today, and for every stumbling toward faith book purchased from the YS online store, YS will donate a dollar to Becky's House, a local residental facility for victims of domestic violence and their children.
